New-Look Poker Game
I downloaded "v-Poker" yesterday after discovering that my
request that there should be "J's" on the jacks playing
cards instead of "B's"--they looked too much like "8's" the whole time! (Finally, those dreams had come true!)

And now I have intentions of keeping the game after taking
it off briefly in case they changed the wrong letter ("B")
to the right letter ("J").

I also hope they add these options later, in what would
become "vPoker 1.5": card backs to include blue, plus the
choice of making the "2's" wild cards, and adding jokers.

Not Bad for A FREE Game
I've been using vPoker on my Palm Vx and really enjoy its playability. After thoroughly testing it out I decided that the program will remain on my handheld PDA until something better comes along for FREE. Enhancement suggestions include but are not limited to the following: 1) Alter the bet amount and total score (total winnings) to represent $$$$, possibly $5 increments and consolidate the highest score & total point display into one screen that reveals the highest winnings. Hey, just for giggles, it may be interesting to provide a house loan feature or pawn shop so gamblers could continue play when they run out of money. I see potential here! 2) Digitally enhance the Jack Face Card that currently displays "B" to display "J". 3) Add some sort of manual or How to Play menu item under help. While I am familiar with poker, some sort of reference or display of possible hands with images of cards would greatly enhance the game. I must admit that my understanding of Double or Nothing was zero until I did some research so a quick reference on this may also ad some value. 4) Consider adding a "Change Bet" at the bottom of the default display next to "Deal" to pop-up quick select bet buttons $5, $25, $50, $100, $500, etc. and write in bet amount while containing Total Pot $$ & Standing Bet $$. This bet feature would eliminate the top bet score row and give you more display room.

Basic 5-Card Draw. Small cards.
My only complaint is the size of the card numbers.
