Yaps is great
This software is probably the easiest yet most efficient software for passwords.

It does back up to hard drive when you hotsync
Thanks for the answer! I have another question now. :)

When it backs up to the hard drive, is there any way to control where it goes? And the filename? I can't find it on my PC. If I didn't give it a filename, is there a default filename I can search for?

Thanks again-
Terry

YAPs 2.5 and the earlier ones do back up their data to the desktop's hard drive. If you loose your Palm or destroy it some how or do a hard reset, YAPS program and data are on your computer if you hot sync it regularly. Just connect your replacement Palm , and hotsync and everything is back on your Palm. You just can't read the data on your desktop that I know of.

Upgrading from VX to Tungsten E2
I would love to keep using YAPS (I have 2.4) when I move from VX to Tungsten E2. Will it work on the E2 without causing crashes etc. I wouldn't want that. I really like YAPS

I have a catch 22.
I have been using Yaps 2.4 for a few years but only with a serial HotSync cradle. I had to buy a ne tower for my computer and 2.4 does not support USB. I don't have a serial port on my new HP, but have 7 USB ports!

My problem is this: How do I upgrade to Yaps 2.5 that supprts USB cradle options? I need to Hotsync the PDA and my wife's, but can't do it because I don't have the software to do it w/USB. I can't even install Yaps v2.5 because I can't Hotsync it in. Help!!!
