Description:
A complete music creation tool in your Palm powered handheld!
Integrated sample editor, able to load .wav files from SD cards, sample packs in
RAM, or waveforms from a built-in sample library.
Instrument (program) editor with envelope, LFO, and low-pass resonant filter.
Up to 32 instruments can be defined. Polyphony : from 8 to 16 voices on 120
MHz devices depending on filter settings. Up to 30 voices on T3s.
Pattern editor offering 3 views: piano roll ; grid
for drum programming ; and parameters to adjust velocity, pan,
cutoff, etc. for each note.
Song editor allowing the creation of songs by arranging patterns.
Live mode: assignable controllers, mutes, easy to use pattern chaining/switching.
Mixer page to quickly edit volume and pan, as well as effects settings. 9 effect
plugins available : delay, flanger, reverb, reverse, overdrive, EQ, filter, multi-LFO (tremolo,
autopan...), and dirty low-tech sound. Developers can develop their own plug-ins,
and/or include them in their own audio apps.
Conduit enabling the rendering of songs as .wav files on the desktop PC when
performing HotSync.
Free, redistribuable, song player available (check pioopiooplayer on this site).
The trial version has the following limitations: after a few minutes you must restart the playing ; saving is limited to one file ; synchronization is disabled ; and the song size cannot exceed 32 bars.
Requires a device supporting PalmOS© 5.0 streaming sound. It means that there is no and won't be any support for devices with limited sound capacities (OS < 5.0 devices)
Tested on the following devices: Zire 71, Zire 72, Zire 31, Tungsten T, T2, T3, T5, Tungsten C, E, E2, Treo600, Treo 650, Tapwave Zodiac, Zodiac 2, Sony UX 50 and TH 55.
Note to owners of Older Cliés: To deliver the best performances to owners of PalmOne and recent Cliés devices, this application is not compatible with MCA. However, a version compatible with MCA is available on demand. This version has one limitation (you cannot listen to individual samples or edit an instrument while the song or pattern is played in background), and should not be used on PalmOne devices and recent Cliés.
