I finally had the courage to upgrade my 710 to 4.1 OS and it was successful in my handheld!! I was so happy. Thanks for the help and encouragement.However, there was a big problem because I CANNOT REMOVE THE PALM DESTOP FROM MY COMPUTER!!!I followed the directions in the sony website (using the add/remove programs of the control settings)but everytime I do it, it says that the file was corrupted and it cannot remove the palm desktop. I tried reinstalling the palm desktop using my the 710 clie cd that accompanied my clie, thinking that probably I failed to install the uninstall wizard of the palm desktop. On the process of reinstalling the palm desktop, a window popped up saying that it did not have the uninstall set-up file and I may not be able to remove the palm desktop. I clicked okay because there was no button saying cancel so it reinstalled the palm desktop.
My question is, are there any other ways to remove this palm desktop? Not being able to hotsync means the loss of the majority of the function of my clie because I use it for taking notes. Or is it possible if you guys can send me a file of the uninstall set up and add it to the palm desktop so I can properly uninstall the palm desktop. my email is perpemelo@hotmail.com.
