I recently downloaded Palm OS4.1 from their website and tried to install on my desktop. I run Win2000 on a Compaq 5440 w/300+RAM...but I received the error message: "Windows installer interrupted..." when I tried installing the software. FRUSTRATION! After installing a supposed upgrade of the Windows Installer i got an error stating that there is a runtime error and sripting error! What is happening? I have tried the following: -uninstalled old version of Palm OS -changing my virtual memory -looking for bugs about Win2000 on the net -installing an upgrade of Win installer -contacted palm support -contacted Compaq support -tried contacting Windows support but gave up at the $195 service fee! HELP ME...anyone! Is this message offensive or in violation of this board's policies? If so report it by clicking here.
