I think I have found the answer. Place your palm in the cradle with the power supply cable connected like normal and with a paper clip or your stylus do a soft reset while in the cradle. This resets the battery. Since I have done this I used my palm a lot last night and ran it down pretty low. I came into work this morning and placed it in the hand set with the palm off and the light has stayed on since about 7:30 this morning and it seems to have worked.
