This short note to share my experience with this equipment. It works great but here are wise words of wisdom..... Don't buy it if you have a windshield that has a thermal coat on it( ie. Newer cars have bluish / redish windshield )!!! I had this experience with my car. I would stick my arm out of the driver window and get the GPS signal ASAP. Up to here no problem.... When I put it under my windshield, low and behold, no more signal. I would stick it out again and.. there it was back again. I called Navman and inquired about my findings. They are aware of the situation and I got a hint that maybe in the near future the newer version of it may have a re-distribution antena or a better antena for reception under these kinds of windshields. Too bad that this was not thought about before launching this product as more and more cars have this thermal coat on their windshields.
