Well, I don't pretend to know what Ron's problem is. Maybe he has conduit issues, or maybe he is using a 3rd party USB hub. I am not an expert in the misadventures of Ron.

But what I do know, for a fact, is that there are no USB HotSync problems with Mac systems. Savior hit it on the head when he said it is a static electricity surge from the PC that causes the problem. That is why:

1. The solution he gave does work by resetting the USB sync settings in the Palm that were screwed up by the static surge

and

2. Why it will likely happen again despite getting a new Palm or cradle

The USB system used by Mac is different than the ones used by most PC manufacturers and static build-up has not been an issue.

If you choose not to accept the truth, I can't make it my problem.

Go for your "Class Action Settlement" and enjoy yourself.

As for me, I will continue to enjoy my Palm.
