Message:Based upon your description of the location of the antenna (on the ground in the bushes) I would not be surprised if you are not getting significant attenuation of the signal from the vegetation. At the frequencies used for cell phones, this is a real possibility. Also the fact that it is sitting on the ground does not help either. You need height. Is the antenna intended to be mounted on the roof of a car using a magnetic mount? If so you do not have a good radio frequency ground. The antenna needs to be sitting on a fairly large piece of metal (such as a car roof or trunk). Try sitting it on top of a metal filing cabinet in you office.Let me know if this helps.
