Message:I recently upgraded to the 6035 from my three year old original TouchPoint Dual Band. I, too, have noticed a decrease in signal quality if only in fringe areas. In those areas, my TouchPoint worked fine, even after I broke the antenna and taped it back on. Now, with my new 6035, I only have a good signal along certain roads. I'll have three bars of signal strength, initiate a call, and then see the phone go into its "searching" mode... it was very frustrating. The difference of a mere half-mile makes a world of difference. Inclement weather also has a much more noticable effect on signal strength than on my old TouchPoint. Even in good signal strength areas, I have had people tell me I'm breaking up. Along the major Interstate highways, I still have excellent reception, as always. As a phone, my old TouchPoint was better. As a PDA/phone combo, the 6035 was an excellent deal at $99 after rebate.
