I had the same message when install the latest version on my Palm m505. But in seems to work just fine. I also noticed that in the custom section of the Hotsync application that is said the same thing.

You can fix this if you are comfortable using regedit.

Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareU.S. RoboticsPilot Desktop and look through the Application# folders until you find the one for AvantGo. Change the name from Mal_product_name to AvantGo and it now will look better in the Hot Sync Applicaton.
