Binary Tree to Streamline Mobile Messaging Migration

By James Alan Miller
November 11, 2009

CMT Mobile is a new product from Binary Tree that supports the migration of smartphone users for companies changing enterprise messaging systems. It can also be used for BlackBerry management and monitoring prior to or after a migration.

The initial release, scheduled for December 7th, will support RIM BlackBerry handsets. It promises to streamline the steps and processes BlackBerry Enterprise Server (BES) administrators need to go through for switching their end users who are being migrated from Lotus Notes to Microsoft Exchange. Binary Tree is also developing integration points between messaging migration products that will further streamline the entire process to include the migration of messaging and calendaring data between Notes and Exchange as well as trigger the necessary BES and actual device changes that need to occur to minimize end user disruptions and increase productivity.

Support for Windows Mobile devices in CMT Mobile, as well as the iPhones, is scheduled to become available during the first quarter of next year. See here to learn more about it.
