Damn nice thing
first - to Gadget Guy aka Jack - thas just crap. There are severel good freeware Filebrowser out there - and btw - the file dident get saved cause no Application is registerd for the *.3gp fiel at beginning. The TX is running with the highest security setings - just need to know how to set them up. Iam realy happy to get rid of thes crap Microsoft device i got from my company first - they bigger/ lesser battery life and just dont run that smoth like a Palm. the TX is the best Palm out there i think - nice Battery life - easy to use - and a very nice bunch of freeware(also a Flashplayer)/cheap shareware for all needs.

Abismal
!!!DO NOT BUY THE PALM TX!!!I downloaded a 3gp movie from a phone using bluetooth and it just disapeared, there is no way I can find it because there is no file browser on the TX. I also tried to set it up to use my router but it didn't work until I took all of the security settings off. Still my frustration continued, as webpages loaded up with lines down them, with things in the wrong place even in wide page mode and I need a flash player that costs £20 that should have been included on this handheld as it did cost me £200!!!! NIGHTMARE!!!! Some advice, buy a Microsoft device and avoid PALM CRAP! !!!DO NOT BUY THE PALM TX!!!

tx newbie
I recently purchased a pda for the first time after eyeballing choices for a couple of months. I bought a tx that was bundled with a cheap gig card promotion and have had fun learning the capabilities. Wifi set-up was simple and efficient...I am still working on getting e-mail to make sense. The sd slot is briliant! I really enjoy showing off pictures from my recent trip to costa rica on the very clear tx screen. Great product, I hope Palm continues development of the PDA, which I feel is different from Treo use. I like a small less complicated phone, and a fast robust pda.

Love It, Im Back !
Ive been a Palm user for many years started with the IIIxe and progressed thru M versions, etc. Seemed to me Palm was actually going down hill. Thought about going Windows CE but went Sony Clie, boy was that a mistake! Then TX arrives and baby Im back! I know my Palm OS and software and Palm applications, trust me this is a fine Palm! WiFi is a breeze and the simplicity is great. I need mine for business and meets every challenge I need. Keep up the good work Palm, and many of us will return and stay! Palm was supposed to be simple, dependable and useful. This is all that!

Not entirely?
I had a Palm TX for 3 weeks. I found it VERY DIFFICULT to operate much of the software and, although I did get it up with my WiFi network, I wasn't able to do many basic funtions that are important to me like download a podcast or webcast or link to a remote radio station. I was never able to get the Pocket Tunes deluxe working, etc. plus the shorthand for capturing data was a nightmare and a lot of the 690+ page instruction book was not very helpful overall. I was able to play a mean hand of poker though. I sent it back when it began to turn itself off and on by itself and run down the battery.
