ROM updates have been released for the palmOne Tungsten C and the Garmin iQue 360. These updates make permanent changes to both Palm OS devices' flash memory, where you'll find the operating system and other applications. So, for instance, if a handheld's battery completely drains or a hard rest is performed, the software in ROM is preserved, while all the data in RAM is erased.

palmOne's Tungsten C Update 2.0 is the second software update for the Tungsten C handheld. It resolves Wi-Fi, roaming, driver and digitizer issues.

The update prevents Wi-Fi disconnects due to invalid DHCP renewal requests and premature Wi-Fi connection timeout and corrects roaming issues between multiple access points on the same subnet in campus environments. It also enhances the power sequence, MMC card driver, and digitizer behavior
