By PDAStreet.com Staff ROM updates have been released for the palmOne Tungsten C and the Garmin iQue 360. These updates make permanent changes to both Palm OS devices' flash memory, where you'll find the operating system and other applications. So, for instance, if a handheld's battery completely drains or a hard rest is performed, the software in ROM is preserved, while all the data in RAM is erased. palmOne's Tungsten C Update 2.0 is the second software update for the Tungsten C handheld. It resolves Wi-Fi, roaming, driver and digitizer issues.
The update prevents Wi-Fi disconnects due to invalid DHCP renewal requests and premature Wi-Fi connection timeout and corrects roaming issues between multiple access points on the same subnet in campus environments. It also enhances the power sequence, MMC card driver, and digitizer behavior
The third ROM update from Garmin for the iQue 3600 includes numerous enhancements, improving the Audio, GPS, Navigation/Routes/Routing, Mapping, PIM, SD/MMC, Searching, and System features of the device.
