Toysoft has added a number of new features to version 5.0 of its file manager application for the Palm OS, myWorkbench. Toysoft said myWorkbench lets you manage databases in RAM and files on external memory cards. In addition to basic file management functions myWorkbench also handles backup (compress files) and restore of databases from an external card, launches applications from RAM and anywhere on the external card, maintains a list of orphaned databases, plays wave files, manages media type files, automatically saves deleted database and applications to an external card (Palm OS 3.5 and 4.x only), hex view database records, sends databases using Bluetooth, zips and unzips databases and files on a memory card, and more. According to the company, new features in myWorkbench 5.0 include a fast JPG viewer for external cards on Palm OS 5.x devices, an enhanced backup utility for daily backups, new desktop wallpapers, a startup/shutdown feature for Palm Tungsten and Sony CLIE handhelds, the ability to startup and shutdown pictures, added support for the Tungsten W and Sony CLIE TG50, as well as additional minor bug fixes.
