By Palm Boulevard Staff
Anyware Mobile Solutions, a mobile data and forms management platform company, and AlphaSmart, a provider of computing solutions for education, are partnering to extend the capabilities of the Dana by AlphaSmart, a laptop alternative powered by Palm OS, with Anyware's Reform solution. Dana, popular within the education market, has an oversized screen, light weight, long battery life, and full-sized integrated keyboard. Anyware's Reform solution is a combination of a standardized data collection application for PDAs and a complementary set of services that the company claims economically enables data management. According to the companies, Reform can be used on the Dana to improve remote data collection and sharing among students. "We are excited about this partnership -- AlphaSmart's existing relationships with the education sector allow Anyware to work even more closely with the K-12 market to assist administrators and teachers in the areas of data management, and to help students whether they're collecting data in a math or science class, or conducting a poll for a social studies class," said Clint Parr, president and chief operating officer of Anyware.
