McGraw-Hill/Irwin today announced the availability of Study Studio, a new PDA-based student self-study tool to enhance student learning.

According to the company, students can download Study Studio to their Pocket PC and Palm OS PDA to gain instant access to course related quizzes, key terms and flashcards. "This new self-study tool provides a portable version of their textbook-related materials. Study Studio offers students the convenience and mobility of a personal digital assistant for anytime, anywhere access," said JP Lenney, president of McGraw-Hill/Irwin, a unit of McGraw-Hill Higher Education.

Study Studio includes three features. The self-quiz tool provides students with immediate feedback to their responses and a summary of results. The key-term feature allows students to select from course-related terms and definitions. Study Studio also includes a 'flashcard' feature utilizing definitions of key terms.

Currently available in the disciplines of finance, management, accounting and marketing, Study Studio is available free-of-charge to McGraw-Hill/Irwin textbook users.
