Pumatech's to Sync AOL with Handhelds

By PDAStreet.com Staff
February 14, 2003

Pumatech announced that America Online will use Pumatech's Intellisync software to enable synchronization of the AOL Calendar, Alerts & Reminders, and Address Book with either Microsoft Outlook or Outlook Express software, and with Palm OS or Pocket PC handhelds.

According to the companies, users of Intellisync for AOL can choose between two-way or one-way synchronization (either to or from their AOL account), depending on how they want to access their information. Intellisync for AOL will synchronize AOL's Calendar, Alerts & Reminders, and Address Book with Microsoft Outlook versions 98/2000/2002, Microsoft Outlook Express versions 5.0 and 6.0, and Palm Desktop version 4.0.1 and greater.

Users can also synchronize their AOL appointments and contacts directly with Palm OS devices running Palm OS 3.0 or 4.0, or with Pocket PC/Windows CE handhelds running Pocket PC 2002 or Windows CE version 2.0 and higher.
