DDH Software has launched a HanDBase Sync Exchange for
mobile database users of either Palm OS or Pocket PC platforms. With
HanDBase Sync Exchange, DDH said companies and personal users alike now have the
ability to synchronize their HanDBase databases with most backend database
programs.
According to the company, HanDBase's Sync Exchange was designed as a solution for companies seeking to
effortlessly collaborate data between its mobile team and corporate
data-files. It said one of the most robust features of Sync Exchange is its scalability to
support multiple users, making it possible for a company to collaborate
data-files on the server with handhelds for its entire mobile team.
DDH claims the result of a scalable solution that can sync to a central server makes it
feasible for a company to reduce the time it normally takes to collect and
consolidate field data. For example, a company can collect audit data, sales
orders, and call reports from its field team members at the end of each day
into a consolidated database where queries can be run on the data to produce
summary reports, order fulfillment, and more with ease.
