tDevice has shipped Q-Pad for Palm m500 series, a PDA accessory which combines the function of a protective leather case, an integrated keyboard and a viewing stand.

Approximately 3 x 5-inches in size and less than one inch thick when coupled with a PDA, the new Q-Pad for Palm m500 Series comes in, according to the company, an industrial strength yet stylish armored leather case. The Q-Pad for m500 Series is fully compatible with applications supporting Palm 500/505/515 and Palm OS for PC or Mac. It has a dedicated numeric keypad and 60-key QWERTY keypad, including programmable hot keys and special function keys.

Much like a PDA hard case, Q-Pad protects both the keyboard and the LCD screen of your PDA behind the armored steel and composite frame of the exterior leather case. It has a snap-in attachment mechanism inside the leather case opposite the keyboard for insertion of your PDA, and also provides a spring-loaded hinge that flips out to become an approximately 40-degree PDA viewing stand. Additionally, Q-Pad uses power from your PDA but it only draws power when a key is depressed for minimal power consumption.

tDevice said the Q-Pad comes with driver software for Windows OS and Mac OS, and a one-year manufacturer's warranty. All applications supporting Palm OS 4.1 and later for m500 series will work with Q-Pad. The price of the Q-Pad is $69.99 and includes the Q-Pad, driver software, a user's manual and a one-year warranty.
