Samsung today announced a new version of it's popular Palm OS smartphone. This new version of their smartphone is smaller and lighter than it's previous version.

The Samsung SPH-M330 will be the replacement to the SPH-I300, which is currently being sold through Sprint PCS. The SPH-M330 weighs 5.3 and measures 4.9 inches by 2.2 inches by .7 inches. These dimensions make the SPH-M330 is lighter and thinner than the SPH-I300.

The SPH-M330 features a bright, 256-color, 160- by 240-pixel LCD. The LCD takes up the majority of the space on the front of the device. The LCD is touch sensitive allowing it to work with PalmOS software, and it also works as the keypad for phone dialing.

The phone offers a talk time of up to 4 hours and a standby time of up to 100 hours. Sprint PCS is expected to be the US carrier for the new phone when it is released in April.
