Are you considering the purchase of a PDA? You're probably wondering which machine is the best buy, and even whether or not you should buy a Pilot or something else like a Palm-size PC, or Psion. You're probably also wondering whether or not you should just go ahead and purchase a laptop computer. Well, stop searching aimlessly. The first decision you will make is which machine to buy. This decision will be largely based on what you want to do with it once you get it. If you're looking to keep contacts, scheduling information, and to-do lists, the Palm IIIe is the way to go. If you're looking to surf the web, send e-mail, etc., you ought to consider a Palm V or Palm VII. If you just need wireless e-mail then look at the Palm VII but if you want true wireless capabilities look into the Palm V or Vx. There are special wireless modems available for the Palm V that will allow you to get Internet access wirelessly. Also, the Palm Vx has 8mb of memory while the Palm VII has only 2mb. Be sure to check out our hardware database for specifications on the various devices.
