Okay, I know what you're thinking. Who needs another solitaire type game cloned to the PalmOS? Before you pass your judgement you should check this game out. If you've got five minutes or even five hours, Acid FreeCell may be what you need to pass the time.

Red Mercury has an excellent product in Acid FreeCell. Complete with sounds and animation, Acid FreeCell will make that train ride or airport layover seem like minutes instead of hours. For those of you who may play this game a little bit longer than you should Acid FreeCell has the option of showing you a battery voltage meter so you know how much juice you've got left.

Those of you interested in evaluating your success (or lack their of). Will definitely appreciate Acid FreeCell's stat tracking ability. In addition to tracking your wins and losses, Acid FreeCell tracks other info such as time played, longest winning or losing streak, and whether you are currently on a winning or losing streak. Acid FreeCell will back up your stats when you Hot Sync your Palm.

Pros:
The game is just fun to play. I've always enjoyed playing freecell, and Acid FreeCell is just as fun as any other freecell game. Red Mercury took the extra steps necessary to make this program a winner. Adding some simple animations and congratulation messages when you win a game, and allowing you to track your wins/losses and other info shows Red Mercury took the time to make a great program.

Cons:
The only problem I had when playing FreeCell was that it was often difficult to distinguish between some of the suits. Acid FreeCell uses shading to differentiate between red and black suits, but I still found myself having trouble telling the hearts and spades apart from each other.

Summary:
Acid FreeCell is a great game if you love playing freecell solitaire. Red Mercury has put out an incredible game that will be a sure hit with any solitaire lover. Anytime you've got a few minutes to kill or whenever you feel the need for a quick relaxing gaem of freecell, Acid FreeCell by Red Mercury will be the cure to your problems.
